Chapter 5:12 to 21 is a summary of all that he has said from 1:18 to 5:11 He says, to summarize, two persons, 5:12 to 21, two persons, Adam.

Jesus Christ. When you’re related to Adam, the father of rebellion, related to him, what you get is sin and death.

He says, okay, Adam’s your father. What do you get? He is the father of rebellion. He is the one as by one man sin entered the world.

Death passed on the human family, all humans, because all have sinned.

Summarize what you get from the first Adam.

sin, death,

alienation, all of that. Okay, when Adam made that choice, he introduced sin into the world and in him, connected with him. That’s what we get. Paul in 1st Corinthians 15: 20 and 21.

One man introduced sin and death by sin. He says, for as in Adam, everybody dies. If you relate it to Adam, it’s what you end up getting. But so also in Christ, all will be made alive. That’s Romans 5:12-21 as well as 1 Corinthians 15:20 and 21. There are two

Now those who are in Christ Jesus…

What does he bring? Paul calls him the last Adam. And in Romans chapter five and in verse 14, he says that Adam, the old Adam, was a figure of the Adam to come.

Adam over here, a new Adam over there. What do you get connected by that Adam? You get 1:18 through 3:20 You get death, sin, and all of that. What do you get in the last Adam, Jesus Christ? You get forgiveness.

Your sins and your iniquities are remembered no more. You get reconciliation. You get life. That’s what he says in 5: 12 through 21, which once more, and I’ll leave you alone. It’s what you, what summarizes 5:12 -21 summarizes what 1:18 through 3:
