The idea that God is sovereign, meaning
I can do anything I want. I am God. That isn’t the God of Scripture at all. And it’s certainly not the God who has shown himself in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yeah.
God is sovereign, but God makes decrees in the light of the creature that he purposes to make. His decrees, his decrees are made in the light of the creature he sovereignly chose to make. And they, the decrees are shaped
by whether they will be obedient or disobedient, whether they will honor Him or will not honor Him.
Believe no one who tells you that God’s decrees are made independent of the creature He chose to create.
