And Paul would say to him, good for you.
You’re crediting to him a love for God, and that’s why you won’t eat. And the non eater says of the eater, Well he’s doing it because he thinks he’s pleasing God. And God says to the non eater, good, you’re crediting to the eater.
He wants to please God. He wants to be grateful to God. So both of you, even though you differ in the action, you both credit to one another the right thing. And that is like Christ. And if you were so settled on, I’m gonna eat the meat,
I don’t care, he says.
I’m gonna eat of meat. And Paul said, if that’s the spirit you have, the disposition you have, you’re willing for him to go down, the one for whom Christ died? And so what have you done? You’ve exalted your liberty above
Christ’s love for the the person.
